Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa

Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa (pseudonym of Francisco Esaú Cossa; born August 1, 1957 in Inhaminga, Mozambique ) is a Mozambican writer.

Khosa studied history and geography at the Pedagogical Faculty of the Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo and then worked as a teacher. He began his writing career with the publication of short stories. He was involved in the founding of the journal Charrua. In addition, he belongs to the Mozambican Writers' Association ( AEMO ).

His novel Ualalapi 1990 as Ficção Narrativa, 1994 awarded the Grande Prémio with the Prémio Nacional de Ficção. 2002, an independent commission in Ghana explained the work of one of the 100 best African books of the 20th century.

2007 Khosa won the José Craveirinha price for his book Os Sobreviventes da Noite.
