Uni-Halle
The Wuppertal Uni- Halle is a multi-purpose hall, which was opened after a three -year construction period on 11 November 1987.
Location
The hall in the district of Elberfeld ( Grifflenberg residential district ) is located about 500 meters as the crow flies from the University of Wuppertal, name, is situated on the east -lying mountain ridge, the Grifflenberg. The address is: Albert -Einstein -Straße 20, 42119 Wuppertal.
Description
With a capacity of up to 4100 people visitors it is the largest multi-purpose indoor arena in the Bergische Land. The enclosed space of the building has an area of 51,000 square meters and offers a 1,600 m² hall area and a maximum area of 16 mx 10 m for a stage. The hall (without annex building) has an octagonal floor plan. The facade consists mainly of steel and glass.
It serves as a venue for international showbiz stars, concerts, musicals, fairs and conferences. Sporting events such as European or World championships in basketball, roller hockey or dancing have been held here. Live TV broadcasts also took place already. Alternating with the Solingen blades hall in the university hall, the home games of the Handball Bundesliga Bergischer HC held. Moreover, here among other things, Germany's biggest rock festival for young musicians, the student - Rock Festival, as well as the Fresher UW take place.

Future
