Uniform title

As a uniform title (EST ) will be referred to in library catalogs of titles in the descriptive cataloging, are brought together under the different editions of a work. In general, the title of the first complete edition is set in the original language as a uniform title. This is then specified in library catalogs in all the editions of the work.

The term is found both in the rules for descriptive cataloging as well as in the Anglo - American Cataloguing Rules ( there as Uniform Title designated ).
