The Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB ) is affiliated with the world 's governing body of carom billiards Sports and WCBS.

History

The UMB was founded on 1 June 1959 in Madrid and is responsible for worldwide marketing, representation and development of the carom - billiard (including 5 Pins billiards) responsible. However, the actual founding of the World Federation was held in 1923 under the name " Union Internationale des Fédérations des Amateurs de Billard " ( UIFAB ).

The Association also has the authority over the general rules of carom billiards - and of all tournaments with participation of athletes under several affiliated organizations, in particular the World Championships and World Cup tournaments.
