Unionist Democratic Union

The Unionist Democratic Union (Arabic الاتحاد الديمقراطي الوحدوي, DMG al -Ittihad al- dīmuqrāṭī al - wiḥdawī; French Union démocratique unioniste, UDU ) is a Tunisian political party which defended the Arab nationalism.

Founded on 26 November and accepted on November 30, 1988, it counted in 2011, seven delegates in the House of Representatives. She participated in all elections since 1989 in part. However, in selected in October 2011 Constituent Assembly it is not represented.

In the 1999 election the Unionist Democratic Union presented its founder and Secretary General Abderrahmane Tlili on as a presidential candidate; He received 0.23 % of votes. While in 2004 no candidate presented, the Union sent in the 2009 elections the successor Tlilis, Ahmed Inoubli, the race, which came in third place with 3.8 % of votes.
