United Nations Security Council Resolution 829

In Resolution 829 of the UN Security Council of the UN Security Council on 26 May 1993, the UN General Assembly decided to recommend to the United Nations approving the accession of the Principality of Monaco. The General Assembly adopted this recommendation, so that Monaco was the 183rd member of the UN on 28 May 1993.

Monaco was thus as the second of the three principalities of Monaco, Andorra and Liechtenstein member of the United Nations. Andorra followed a little later in 1993, Liechtenstein has already received in 1990 the membership.
