United States Ambassador to Namibia

The Embassy of the United States of America in Windhoek is the diplomatic mission of the United States of America in Namibia. It lies in the Lossen Street, near the Ausspannplatz in Windhoek Central, Namibia.

The current ambassador ( since late 2010), Wanda L. Nesbitt.

History

Originally founded as a U.S. liaison office in Windhoek, took place after the recognition of the independence of Namibia from the United States, an upgrade to the message. The former director of the U.S. Liaison Office, Roger A. McGuire, was as chargé d'affaires ad interim of the first head of the diplomatic mission in independent Namibia.
