United States Capitol Complex

The Capitol Complex ( United States Capitol Complex ) is a group of about a dozen buildings and facilities in Washington, DC grouped around the Capitol. It houses mainly facilities that were originally housed in the Capitol itself, but for which the course was too short in the main building over time. These include several buildings of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. The administration and supervision of the ensemble, the architect of the Capitol.

Facilities

The Capitol is the central building of the ensemble. To it are grouped around:

  • Office building of the House of Representatives Cannon House Office Building
  • Ford House Office Building
  • Longworth House Office Building
  • Rayburn House Office Building
  • Supreme Court Building
  • Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building
  • John Adams Building
  • Thomas Jefferson Building
  • James Madison Memorial Building

In addition to the buildings of the complex are also various monuments, sculptures and other works of art to the complex.
