Universal White Brotherhood
The Universal White Brotherhood is a syncretic religious community. The Universal White Brotherhood (UWB ) transmitted the doctrine of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. In France, where it has the most members, Fraternité Blanche Universelle it is called ( FBU). The international center of the community is located in Frejus on the Cote d' Azur.
The Universal White Brotherhood is not to be confused with the " White Brotherhood " by Maria Devi Khristos in Ukraine.
Dissemination
According to Melton's Encyclopedia of American Religions of 1989, the Universal White Brotherhood in 1988 4,350 members in France and 1,350 members in Switzerland. Today, the community should be used in at least 22 countries. The Swiss Centre is located in Monts- de -Corsier near Lake Geneva. In France there is a great center in Sèvres, near Paris.
History
The Universal White Brotherhood was founded on April 6, 1900 in Varna from Petar Danow. 1937 mandated that his pupil Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov to spread the teachings of the Brotherhood in France. He taught there until his death in 1986. A successor does not exist. The individual groups and centers are run by elected president. The doctrine itself is also taught about the books, audio and video lectures.
Teaching

Also Aivanhov was a great master in this White Lodge.
Practice
Practiced the Surya Yoga ( Yoga of the Sun), with meditations at sunrise. Among the religious practices include choral singing and listening to the lectures of Aivanhov. Sunday dances the Brotherhood Paneurhythmy. The " Yoga of Nutrition" recommends a vegetarian diet, because the meat is detrimental to mental balance and spiritual development. Once a week, 24 hours fasting is recommended. In the centers of community meals are taken in silence, in which the members are to chew well and eat consciously.
The Brotherhood supports the common life of the members of a large family, in contrast to nuclear family, which is not rejected, but the teaching of only one incarnation has duration. The love of spouses should be spiritually oriented, rather than serving only the pure pleasure. The Community has a cautious attitude towards evidence-based medicine and their drugs. The principle of love and work with the light are an effective medicine. Are also recommended acupuncture, cranio - sacral therapy, homeopathy or kinesiology.
