Universidad Las Palmas is a Spanish football club from the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The club was founded in 1994 playing in the 2008/ 09 season in the Segunda División B, Group 2

History

Together with the brothers Morales Gómez Cáceres has sat down with lawyers and students, and in 1994 the club " Vegueta - Universidad " was founded.

The beginnings & ascents

In the Segunda Regional the team started. The first competitive game was lost 0-3 against Atlético Arguineguin. This force consisted entirely of amateur kickers. This gave the managers the incentive José Manuel León to undertake as a coach and to launch a major project to life. In addition, some good unterklassige players were brought in and the club in " Universidad de Las Palmas CF " renamed. So it was that the young team to a "Winner " team and was already four years after the founding club in Segunda División B played. Just two years later they landed in the Segunda División. Fusion and last years

In the 2000/2001 season Alfredo Morales decided the club founder Gómez Cáceres from the club to exclude and to integrate into the larger club UD Las Palmas. Stadium

Universidad Las Palmas plays at the Estadio Pepe Goncalvez, which has a capacity of 3,500 spectators. The stadium was inaugurated in October 2002. The playing field measures 93 x 56 meters.
