The FH Kufstein University of Applied Sciences, is an Austrian University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein in the northeast of the Tyrol.

Organization

The curriculum extends to bachelor's and master's degree programs and a post -graduate program. The FH Kufstein is also organizer of events and conferences on current issues in the courses of study and their research and continues with a Career Center to share information between industry and higher education.

The FH Kufstein is the employer of approximately 260 full and part- time professors and lecturers from industry and academia, as well as about 100 employees. On the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein currently studying about 1200 students. Every year, about 200 exchange students added from approximately 35 countries to participate in the many English-language programs and lectures. The peculiarity of Kufstein University of Applied Sciences, mandatory food abroad. 50% of the programs are offered in the occupational organizational form that also allows professionals to study at weekends and in block form.

In April 2006, the cooperation agreement was concluded with the hundredth international partner university. Currently, a network of 150 international partner universities is maintained, because in all courses is the mandatory exchange program a fixed component.

History

Began the history of the Fachhochschule Kufstein 1992, when the first talks with the state government Tirol the establishment of a university of applied sciences were tested out in Kufstein. Five years later, the Fachhochschule Council approved the first courses at the site Kufstein, who started in the fall of 1997. The private foundation club of the University of Applied Sciences - Association for International polytechnic studies and training Kufstein Tirol - was founded in 1995 by Walter J. Mayr.

In July 2005, Kufstein fit as the first college of Tyrol in their organization to the new study architecture in accordance with the Bologna process - thus the degrees "Bachelor " or be acquired "Master" at the conclusion of the courses.

2007 threatened the accreditation authority for weaknesses in teaching with the withdrawal of accreditation

2008 an independent research company transfer was to further promote research and teaching founded, the planned, but also existing projects for the economy processed and marketed.
