The University of Central Asia ( UCA) was founded in 2000. The President of the Central Asian states of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as Karim Aga Khan IV, the founder of the Aga Khan Development Network, signed the international certificate of incorporation for the establishment of this private, secular university. Campus and facilities

The central administration of the University of Central Asia is located in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. The two existing campus of UCA are located in the Kazakh city Tekeli and the oldest in the Tajik city Chorugh. The third campus in the Kyrgyz city of Naryn is currently (winter 2013) in construction and planned in 2016 to record the first students.
