University of Colima
The Universidad de Colima is the public university of the Mexican state of Colima. It has campuses in the cities of Colima, Villa de Alvarez, Coquimatlán, Tecomán and Manzanillo.
History
The Universidad de Colima was founded on September 16, 1940 under the impact of the tenure of Lázaro Cárdenas.
Structure
The faculties of the university are divided among the major towns of the state.
Campus Colima
Colima is the largest campus of the University of Colima. In Colima telematics, nursing, medicine, social work, psychology, education, market research, philology, fine arts, law and natural sciences are offered, as well as the integrated degree programs in Business Administration / Public Administration and Political Science / Social Sciences.
Campus Villa de Álvarez
In Villa de Álvarez courses of study foreign languages , economics, education, philosophy and tourism activities are offered.
Campus Coquimatlán
In Coquimatlán the study programs in architecture, chemistry, electrical engineering and engineering for urban development and infrastructure are available.
Campus Tecomán
In Tecomán degree programs in veterinary medicine and biology are offered, as well as the integrated study program in Business Administration and Management Sciences.
Campus Manzanillo
