The University of Hyderabad (Hindi: हैदराबाद विश्वविद्यालय ) is a public university, about 20 km from the center of Hyderabad Gachibowli away in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
At the University of 250 professors (and other teachers) are busy and there are about 3,500 students. Language of instruction is with a few exceptions in the English philology.
Do not confuse it with two other well-known colleges of Hyderabad, Osmania University and Maulana Azad Urdu National University.
History
The University of Hyderabad was founded in 1974 by a decision of the Indian Parliament as a Central University. This makes it one of today only 18 public universities, because usually subject to the colleges in India each state.
Although some undergraduate degree programs have been introduced in recent years, the focus of the range of qualifications on is on the postgraduate level with Master of Philosophy, Master of Arts, Ph. D., and PG Diplomas.

Establishments
Under the auspices of the university Academic Staff College for education and training of teachers, a Centre for Distance Education for working professionals and post- graduates, the Outreach Program Literacy act on literacy surrounding communities, as well as January Shikshan Sansthan ( Institute of People's Education) and the Study India Program ( SIP).
Study India Program
A special feature is the so-called Study India Program ( SIP). It offers students from all over the world the opportunity for a semester or summer schools. International Relations
