The University of Isfahan (Persian دانشگاه اصفهان ) is a university founded in 1946, government in the city of Isfahan in Iran, with 14,000 students and 450 academic staff.

Mention in the popular literature

In the novel, The Physician by Noah Gordon, who plays in the 11th century, the main character Robert Jeremy Cole of England travels to distant Isfahan to study the Arabic art of healing there. Noah Gordon points out, however, that he has the medieval university modeled on the medieval Azudi Hospital in Baghdad.
