The University of Macedonia (Greek: Πανεπιστημίο Μακεδονίας ) is an economic and socio- scientific state university in the Macedonian capital, Thessaloniki in northern Greece. The University in 1991 from the industry High School of Thessaloniki (Greek: Ανώτατη Βιομηχανική Σχολή Θεσσαλονίκης Anotati Viomikhaniki Scholi Thessaloniki ) emerged and today consists of 10 faculties. The University is a member of the network of Balkan universities.

Faculties

Originally, the University of Macedonia had two faculties which, after the establishment of four more were added. In September 1998, it was divided to two other faculties of the University, those for Balkan Studies / Oriental / Slavic Studies and Musicology / art before the year 2004, the faculty of Technology Management, on the campus of Naoussa, marketing and transactions, which is located on the campus of Edessa.
