University of Minho
The University of Minho (Portuguese: Universidade do Minho ) is a state university in Portugal with two locations:
- Campus de Gualtar in Braga and
- Campus de Azurém and Campus de Couros (since 2012) in Guimarães.
Campus Azurém
The University of Minho was established under a State university reform in 1973 and is named after the Minho region south of the border river Miño (Portuguese: Minho ). She is the oldest of the so-called new universities of Portugal, which are regionally defined (such as Universidade Tras- os- Montes e Alto Douro [ UTAD ] or Universidade da Beira Interior [ UBI ] ).
