The University of Nariño ( UDENAR ) is a public university and government of Colombia and member of the Association Colombian Universities ( Asociación Colombiana de Universidades ) ASCUN and the Ibero-American University network Universia.

History and Organization

The University was founded on November 7, 1904 by Julián Buchelli. It offers numerous Pregrado degree programs at five master's degree programs and a doctorate ( in Ciencias de la Educación ); In addition it is home to 79 of the Departamento de Ciencia Administrativo, Tecnología e Innovación ( Colciencias ) recognized research groups. Headquarters of the Universidad de San Juan de Pasto Nariño; The University also has side seats in Ipiales, Samaniego, Tumaco and Tuquerres.

The University publishes the journals Derecho Público, Revista Historia de Educación Colombiana Tendencies and contributions to academic subjects of Departamentes Nariño and Colombia.

Owned by the University Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Latino Americanas ( CEILAT ) is one of the few institutions of Latin American studies in Colombia; It is located in the campus of the University of Centro ( Carrera 22) and whose " Vice Rector for Research and Postgraduoertenstudien " ( VIPRI ) subordinate.
