The University of Oradea (Romanian: Universitatea din Oradea ) is a state university in the Romanian city of Oradea ( German: Oradea ) with a total of 35,000 students and 1,200 academic staff.

History

The University of Oradea dates back to a school of philosophy in 1780, in 1788 a Faculty of Law was established. At this time, the university was known as the University of Oradea. From 1921, all lectures were held in the Romanian language. 1923 a theological faculty was established. Later, the faculty was incorporated for literature at the University Crisana. 1934, the law school was delivered to the Babeş -Bolyai University of Cluj. Between 1963 and 1983 more different disciplines was opened.

The modern university was founded on 1 October 1963; 1990, the official status was awarded a " Technical University ".

University

The university today offers 18 faculties at 105 degree programs and 165 postgraduate study programs.

The "International Academy of Cybernetics " Stefan Odobleja " " is affiliated with the University of Oradea. The university includes research centers:

  • National Research Centre for Geothermal
  • Medical Research
  • " Crisina " department of the Academy of Medical Sciences
  • Research and Produktionszemtrum for microwave heating
  • Research Center for Superconductors and Cryogenics ( cryogenics )
  • Research Centre for Aerospace (in cooperation with the "Russian Academy of Cosmonautics Tiolkovski ( RACTS ) " and the " Romanian Space Agency ( ROSA ) " )
  • Nuclear research center
