University of Perpignan

The University of Perpignan Via Domitia (French: Université de Perpignan Via Domitia or only Université de Perpignan ) is a state university in the southern French town of Perpignan with a total of 18,000 students.

The University of Perpignan was founded in 1349 by King of Aragon Peter IV, and only re-opened in 1971 after it was closed in 1794. It now consists of 5 faculties, 3 institutes and four schools. President of the University is Jean Benkhelil.
