The University of Savoy (French: Université de Savoie) in the French cities of Chambéry and Annecy was founded in 1979.

Although Chambéry was the capital of the county, later the Duchy of Savoy, there was never a university there. Even after the annexation by France changed it nothing. Only in the 1960s, a science college ( Collège Scientifique Universitaire ) and then a literary College ( Collège Universitaire Littéraire ) was established in Savoy, which formed in 1969 along the center of Savoy University (Centre Universitaire de Savoie). Together with the established in 1973, IUT Annecy this was officially charged on 27 June 1979 on the university.
Locations
