Unshine

Unshine is a gothic metal band from Helsinki, Finland.

History

Unshine was created in May 2000, when Susanna Vesilahti first visited the samples of the band in the basement of the restaurant Manala in Helsinki. The next few years were determined by samples and composing. Early 2002 could Unshine releasing their first self - produced demo, promo 2002, with three pieces. The following summer, she had her first public appearances. Soon after came out their second demo, which was titled with Promo 2003.

In 2004 Unshine recorded her first album Earth Magick and signed a contract with Low Frequency Records from. The debut album was released by the label Crash Music, 2005 in Finland and North America, where it received consistently good reviews. Their second album Enigma of Immortals was released in 2008.

Style

The band tries to bring a unique and timeless atmosphere in their songs. The songs that contain many allusions to mythology and folklore, refer to our forgotten function of the primal forces of nature.
