Upper Pirkanmaa

The administrative community Oberpirkanmaa (Finnish Ylä- Pirkanmaan seutukunta ) is one of six administrative Communities ( seutukunta ) of the Finnish landscape Pirkanmaa. It includes the following four cities and towns:

• Juupajoki
• Mänttä - Vilppula
• Ruovesi
• Virrat

On 1 January 2007 the municipality Längelmäki was divided into the cities and Orivesi Jämsä, causing a change in the boundaries of the administrative community. At the beginning of 2009, previously belonging to Oberpirkanmaa community Kuru was incorporated into Ylöjärvi and changed as in the administrative community Tampere.
