Upper Váh region

The Severne Považie (Slovak Severopovažský región ( cestovného ruchu ); German as " Region of the Northern Territory Waag " ), rarely also Horne Považie (literally "Upper Vah - field ") is a tourist region in Slovakia.

It covers the southern reaches of the river Vah following over the districts of:

  • Bytča
  • Považska Bystrica
  • Púchov (except the municipalities Beluša, Mojtín and Visolaje )
  • Žilina
  • Kysucké Nové Mesto
  • Čadca

In the southwest joins which also marked by the River Vah region Stredné Považie, the districts Kysucké Nové Mesto and Čadca also form the unofficial Kysuce.
