Upper Volta Territorial Assembly election, 1957
The first elections to the territorial assembly in French Upper Volta were held on 31 March 1957.
The result was a victory for the United Democratic Party ( a coalition of the Voltaic Democratic Union - African Democratic collection and the Social Party for the equality of the African masses), which jointly won a total of 35 of the 68 seats in the Territorial Assembly.
