Uri Gavriel

Uri Gavriel (Hebrew אורי גבריאל; born April 3, 1955 in Bnei Brak, Israel) is an Israeli actor.

Life

Uri Gavriel, was born as the son of Bertha and Gabriel Gavriel, Jewish immigrants from Iraq. In the meantime, the family lived in Tel Aviv- Jaffa, before she retired again to Bnei Brak. After his military service in the Israeli military, he studied from 1977 to 1979 at the Nissan Nativ 's acting studio spectacle. Already since he was 17 years old, played Gavriel theater and was able to establish itself in the Israeli theater scene before he made his debut in 1982 in Jacob Goldwasser Drama Mitahat La'af on the canvas. On the side of Moshe Ivgy Makram Khoury and he played the leading role of Sammy Ben- Tovim.

From the 1980s Gavriel played with in several Israeli films that were distributed internationally. Among other things, he played in Delta Force, Iron Eagle and Iron Eagle II. He had his greatest success for his performance as Franco in Eyal Halfons Drama Welcome in Israel, which he for Best Actor with the Ophir Award, the Israeli Film Prize was awarded in 2005. Last Gavriel was seen in Christopher Nolan's epic thriller The Dark Knight Rises as a blind inmate.
