Urijah

The prophet Uriah lived around the year 600 BC in the kingdom of Judah, about the same time as the prophet Jeremiah. He was the son of Shemaiah and came from Kiryat Je'arim. Uriah is mentioned by the prophet Jeremiah ( Jer 26.20-24 HFA).

He said the city of Jerusalem and the kingdom of matter lying ahead a disaster. King Jehoiakim gave the order to kill Uriah it. In Egypt, whither Uriah fled, he could not hide. He was brought to Jerusalem and executed there.
