The USCGC Taney was a big coast guard ship, the Secretary class. It was put into service on 24 October 1936 and according to Roger B. Taney, the Chief Justice of the United States ( amt 1836-1864 ), named.
Became famous for the Taney because it was the last ship floating that the attack on Pearl Harbor was about 1941. Today it is a museum ship in Baltimore, Maryland, after it was filed on December 7, 1988 out of service.
