The USNS Mohawk (T- ATF 170 ) is a tug of the United States Navy and is part of the Powhatan class. She served from 1980 to 2005 in the U.S. Navy.
History
The ship was laid on March 22, 1979 at the Marinette Marine Shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin on Kiel. The launch took place on 17 May 1980, for further outfitting the Mohawk was passed on 16 October 1980, the Military Sealift Command of the U.S. Navy.
She was assigned to the U.S. Atlantic Fleet and stationed in the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek in Little Creeak, Delaware.
The tractor was made on 15 August 2005 decommissioned and assigned to the reserve fleet.
