USS Chattanooga

USS Chattanooga was the name of several ships of the U.S. Navy, named after the city Chattanooga:

  • USS Chattanooga (1866 ), a wooden screw frigate in 1871 severely damaged by ice in the dock and sold in 1872
  • USS Chattanooga (C -16) (later CL- 18) was a protected cruiser of the Denver class
  • USS Chattanooga (PF -65 ), a built 1943/44 Frigate of the Tacoma class was renamed prior to entry on August 18, 1944 in USS Uniontown (PF -65)
  • The construction of the cruiser Chattanooga (CL -118 ) ( keel laying 1944) was canceled in 1945
  • Ship name of the United States Navy
