The USS Cyclops was a Proteus class in 1910 put into service coal ship of the United States Navy, which disappeared after departing from Barbados in the area of the Bermuda Triangle ( Caribbean) on March 4, 1918. From the ship and the 306 people on board is no trace; a wreck was never found.
In the history of the United States Navy casualty of this was the biggest loss of seafarers outside of combat operations at sea.
