The USS Nevada (SSBN-733) is a nuclear submarine of the United States Navy and is part of the Ohio - class. As Ship Submersible Ballistic Nuclear she leads with 24 ICBMs.

History

The Nevada was given in 1981 at Electric Boat in order and laid there on Kiel in August 1983. After over two years of construction, the boat was launched, the final finishing cost for another year.

From 1986, the Nevada so patrols conducted as a deterrent.

On 1 August 2006, the Nevada case operated to periscope depth in the Juan de Fuca Strait, as they captured the Schlepptaue the tractor Phyllis Dunlap with her sails and severed. One of the two towed barges broke away then from the tractor and had to be "captured" by a second ship. The sail of the submarine was doing slightly damaged.
