The USS Raven ( MHC 61) is a mine hunting boat the Osprey class. It is the third ship of the United States Navy, named after the ravens and crows. On 31 March 1993, the contract for the construction of this ship was transferred to the Intermarine USA. On September 28, 1996, the launching of the ship. Went into service on September 5, 1998. The Raven was originally stationed at the Naval Station Ingleside in Ingleside, Texas, 2000, she was moved to Manama, Bahrain. In January 2007 she was handed over to the Egyptian Navy under the Naval Vessels Transfer Act of 2005 ( PL 109-134 ).
