Utricularia stygia

The Dark yellow water hose ( Utricularia stygia ) or Dark water hose is a species of the genus of the water hoses ( Utricularia ).

Features

The Dark yellow water hose is a deciduous, rootless, submerged aquatic plant, which reaches stature heights between 5 and 15 centimeters. Occurrence

The Dark yellow water hose grows in Germany in oligo-to mesotrophic waters such as ditches, ponds, bog and shallow shore areas of lakes. The species is rare in Bavaria, Baden -Württemberg (Black Forest, Alpine foothills ), Rhineland -Palatinate, North Rhine -Westphalia and Saxony Northeast. In Schleswig -Holstein, it is considered extinct. The range of the species is known only insufficiently.
