Uwe Böning

Uwe Böning ( born December 7, 1947 in Zittau ) is a German business coach, management consultant and author. He is considered one of the pioneers of business coaching in Germany and shapes the research, practice, association work and training in coaching with decisive.

Life

After graduation Böning studied at the University of Mainz, psychology, philosophy and sociology and graduated with a degree in psychology from.

After studying Böning worked from 1974 initially as a clinical psychologist / psychotherapist in private practice while working as a research assistant at the University of Mainz in a research project. From 1979 he worked as a management trainer for two Munich consulting firm. Since 1985 he has worked as a management consultant and coach, now exclusively on top and senior management level. In 1985 he founded together with Brigitte Fritschle Böning team, today the management consulting Böning -Consult, in Frankfurt am Main and is one of the two managing partners of the company. From 1992 to 1995 Böning was parallel Vice President Human Resources at Bosch - Siemens Home Appliances (B / S / H) in Munich.

Böning belongs together with Brigitte Fritschle and Joerg Wirtgen of the founders of the European Coaching Company ( ECC), which offers internationally since 2005, training as a business coach. He is also in common with Christopher Rauen initiator and co-founder of the German Federal Association of Coaching ( DBVC ). From 2004 to 2006 he was chairman of the DBVC.

Böning conducts research into personality characteristics of leaders in Germany ( top, senior and middle management ) as well as to measure the success of coaching. He was a lecturer at the University of Osnabrück and the University of Freiburg and was a guest lecturer at coaching and management topics, among others at the University of Bielefeld, Mannheim Business School ( MBS) and worked at INSEAD. Böning heard with Siegfried Greif and Brigitte Fritschle the initiators and organizers of the Ekeberger coaching days. The Ekeberger coaching days are a yearly since 2008 symposium on current topics of the coaching industry, serving on the exchange of science and practice of further professionalization of the field. Böning initiated in collaboration with Brigitte Fritschle, Frank and Heidrun Strikker and Christine Kaul the coaching Globe, an Internet-based platform for practitioners, academics, journalists and other interested parties and is author of several books and articles on the topics of coaching, change management, leadership and post-merger integration.

Böning is married, has four children and lives in Frankfurt am Main and in Ekeberg / Schleswig.
