Uz - DaewooAvto (also UzDaewooAvto, Russian: Уз - ДаевооАвто ) is an agreed in 1992 joint venture between the Uzbek UzAvtosanoat and the South Korean Daewoo Motor for automotive manufacturing. The Company enters into Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation under the brand name of Uz - Daewoo on. But also in the other republics of the CIS wins the brand increasingly important. The manufacturer's plant is located in Asaka. Where production was finally taken on 19 July 1996. The initiative to establish the Uzbek automotive industry goes back to the President Islom Abduganiyevich Karimov. Uz - Daewoo produced 140,000 units annually.
