Vacuum chamber

A vacuum chamber is a hermetic vessel, may be removed from the air or other gas (mixture) s by means of a vacuum pump.

Application find vacuum chambers for example, in materials testing and Aufschäumtechnik. Also includes particle accelerators, as well as many other physical apparatus, a ( usually not so designated ) vacuum chamber.

The largest vacuum chamber in the world is located in the NASA Glenn Research Center. It was used as a filming location for the SHIELD headquarters in the film The Avengers.
