Vahide Aydın

Vahide Aydın (born Yılmaz; born October 3, 1968 in Elbistan ) is an Austrian politician (Greens) and social worker of Turkish origin. Aydın since 2009 Member of the Vorarlberg Landtag. She lives in Dornbirn, is married and the mother of two children.

Education and work

Aydın visited the Federal Oberstufenrealgymnasium in Lauterach, studied from 1990 to 1993 at the Social Academy in Bregenz and worked from 1993 to 2000 as a social worker and guidance counselor for young people with immigrant parents in the counseling office of the association for the care of foreigners in Dornbirn. Since 2000 she has been employed as a social worker at the Department of Social Services.

Policy

Aydın occurred in 2000 in Dornbirn Dornbirn Green and is a member of the town council. In 2006 she was elected to the State Executive Committee of the Vorarlberg Greens. She is since 2007 of the Green Party and joined migrants in the regional elections of 2009 at number 5 on the state list of the Greens and ranked 4th in the electoral district Dornbirn. Aydın scored 1239 preferential votes in the electoral district Dornbirn and was thus be ranked in this constituency at No. 3. Since the top candidate John Rauch, who had a candidate in each constituency at No. 1, the direct mandate in the district of Feldkirch, and the nominee 's second Katharina Wiesflecker took her direct mandate in the district of Bregenz, Aydın moved according to the direct mandate of the Greens in the Dornbirn district. The current Green MEP from the electoral district of Bludenz, Karin Fritz, resigned from the parliament as they reached no direct mandate and on the regional list in front of her strung Bernd Boesch ( Dornbirn district ) came to train for the fourth mandate of the Greens.

In her capacity as Member of Parliament of Vorarlberg Greens Vahide Aydın is currently responsible for the areas of integration, migration and human rights, family, youth and people with disabilities.
