The Val d' aveto ( in German: Avetotal ) is a valley in the Italian Apennine Mountains. It is in the Liguria Province of Genoa and of the province of Piacenza (Emilia -Romagna) and is traversed by a homonymous stream. In the valley of the communities Rezzoaglio and Santo Stefano d' aveto on the territory of the Province of Genoa and the communities Ferriere, Cerignale and Corte Brugnatella being on the territory of the province of Piacenza.

Fauna

In addition to traditional livestock livestock the valley offers different wildlife habitat, such as the badger, hedgehog, fox, wild boar, marten, wildcat and, more recently, again the Italian wolf. Culture

The Val d' aveto belongs to the cultural space of the so-called Quattro Province, consisting of the provinces of Alessandria, Genoa, Pavia and Piacenza, which is characterized by common customs, traditional clothing, music and dances. Special musical instrument is the Piffero, which is accompanied by an accordion, and formerly of Musa, a kind of bagpipe.
