Valcho Stoev

Walt Scho Stoew ( Bulgarian Вълчо Стоев, English transcription Valcho Stoev, . Born January 20, 1952 in Owtscharowo, Haskovo Oblast ) is a retired Bulgarian shot putter.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships 1973 in Rotterdam he finished sixth. The following year he was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg and ninth at the European Athletics Championships in Rome.

In 1975, he won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Katowice and bronze at the Universiade 1977 gold at the Universiade. In the EM 1978 in Prague, he was tenth. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, he retired in the qualifier without a valid attempt.

Overall, he was five times Bulgarian champions outdoors (1972-1974, 1979, 1980) and four times in the hall. In 1974 he became Soviet indoor champion.
