Valdemar Tomaševski

Valdemaras Tomaševskis (Polish Waldemar Tomaszewski, born March 3, 1965 in Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician of Polish origin.

Life

Tomaszewski is a member of the Polish minority in Lithuania. After graduation in 1983 at the 11th Middle School Vilnius, he studied until 1990 at the Faculty of Mechanics at Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas. From 1984 to 1986 he made ​​the Soviet army service.

From 1995 to 1997, 1997 to 2000, and from 2000 to 2003 he was a member of the Council of Rajongemeinde Vilnius, 2000 Deputy Mayor. From 2000 to 2004 and 2004 to 2008 he was a member of the Seimas. Since 2009 he is a member of EP.Waldemar Tomaszewski is the chairman of the party Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija ( LLRA ), the Representation of the Polish minority in the country.

Tomaszewski is a member of the Management Board of the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists.

He is Vice Chairman of the Delegation for relations with Belarus and a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly EURO- NEST.
