Valentin Kozmich Ivanov
Valentin Ivanov Kosmitsch (Russian Валентин Козьмич Иванов; born November 19, 1934 in Moscow, USSR; † November 8, 2011 in Moscow, Russia) was a Soviet football player and coach.
Life
Ivanov, born in 1934 in Moscow, was striker and, together with five other players with four -goal leading scorer in the FIFA World Cup in Chile in 1962. Already at the Football World Cup 1958 in Sweden he had scored two goals. In the selection of the USSR he came on 59 missions and scored 26 goals and won the European Football Championship 1960. Thus it is in the statistics after Oleg Blokhin and Oleg Protasov ranked 3rd of Soviet scoresheet. In his career he played exclusively at Torpedo Moscow. In the Soviet Cup, he scored a total of 124 goals.
Immediately after his retirement 1966/67, he was head coach of Torpedo, which he stayed with two smaller interruptions beginning or end of the 70s until the end of the USSR in 1991. 1992/93 he completed with Raja Casablanca not his only career moscow station. But in 1993 he went back to his hometown to Asmaral Moscow before the last time coach of Torpedo was from 1994 to 1996 and 1998. Later he went into the bar of the second Moscow torpedoes, today's FK Moscow, whose coach, he was briefly in 2003, but otherwise to 2007 worked as a vice president. Since then, he was Advisor to the Board of his old clubs torpedo.
Since 1959 he was married to the multiple -turn Olympic and world champion Lidija Gavrilovna Ivanova, their son Valentin Valentinovich Ivanov referee.
Career
In the 1950s and 1960s, he was a world -class striker, with the selection of the Soviet Union, he became Olympic champion in 1956, as well as top scorer of the World and European Championships and was in two European Cup finals. Ivanov, was formerly in the seventh decade after his first race for Torpedo Moscow still on the staff of the club, where he was a total of nearly 40 years in his career as a star striker or head coach under contract.

Ivanov was awarded the Medal of the Soviet Union.
