Valentina Babor

Valentina Babor ( born July 8, 1989 in Munich) is a German pianist.

Musical Career

Valentina Babor received her first piano lessons at the age of five years. At eight, she gave her first recital and four years later was listed among the exceptions talent at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Institute for gifted funding. Her teachers were Ludmila Gourari, Karl -Heinz Kammerling and Elisso Wirssaladze. In June 2012, she graduated with highest honors her soloist diploma with Gerhard Oppitz at the University for Music and Theater in Munich. Since 2013, it continues her studies as a master student at the Finnish pianist Antti Siirala.

In October 2011, she designed together with soloists of the Munich Philharmonic under the Liszt Festival in Munich, the world premiere of the piano quintet " Rhapsody Macabre" by Graham Waterhouse. Besides her work as a soloist, she founded in 2012, two chamber music ensembles, the " European Chamber Ensemble" Munich and the " Bell Artis Trio ".

She is international representative of the " Amadeus International School of Music" in Vienna and has been active since 2012 in numerous concerts and projects the school for gifted young musicians.

Prizes and awards

At age six, she was making music a first prize at youth; two first prizes she won the Munich Piano podium of the youth. Valentina Babor comes from a family of artists in Munich. Her mother is a ballet dancer, her father an architect.
