Valeria Sorokina

Valeriya Mikhailovna Sorokina (Russian Валерия Михайловна Сорокина, English transcription Valeria Sorokina; born March 29, 1984 in Rescheticha, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast ) is a Russian badminton player.

Career

Valeria Sorokina is one of the most successful Russian badminton players. They won the only previous European Championship title in badminton for Russia together with Nina Wislowa in women's doubles. Other international titles she won, among others, in Scotland, the USA, Wales, Sweden, Belgium, Finland and Italy. 2012 both won the women's doubles, and they additionally the women's singles at the Open Russia.
