Valérie Favre

Valérie Favre ( born August 18, 1959 in Evilard in Biel, Switzerland ) is a Swiss visual artist since 2006 and a professor of painting at the University of Arts in Berlin.

Life and work

Valérie Favre grew up in the Canton of Bern. After a theater training, she worked from the early 1980s, first as a set designer and actress in Paris, but then turned in the late 1980s to painting. After Berlin, she moved in 1998 after she had lived 18 years in France and made ​​a name there.

The high school teacher is a member of the current five -member jury of the Fred - Thieler Prize for painting.

Valérie Favre lives and works in Berlin.
