Valerio Belli

Valerio Belli (* around 1468 in Vicenza, † 1546 ibid.), also known as Valerio Vicentino, was an Italian gem engraver. He was the first representative of the Italian Gemmoglyptik deserved. He created numerous rock crystal stone cuts, is famous, for example, his Cassetta Medici in the Museo degli Argenti (Florence, Palazzo Pitti ).
