Valerio Jalongo

Valerio Sebastiano Jalongo ( born May 11, 1960 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Jalongo earned a degree in philosophy and directed his first short films as a student of the School of Cinema Gaumont, which had been founded by Renzo Rossellini. In 1983 he celebrated his big screen debut when his short film La ricerca part of the episode was juke box. Among his then following the resulting work only 1997 television film Torniamo a casa is probably the best known. In it, a childless couple adopts a Romanian child. In 2010 he staged the drama La scuola è finita with Valeria Golino. Jalongos style is called " unobtrusive but powerful jet ". Special attention has also his documentary di me cosa non sai, where he lit the Italian film industry.
