Valgerður Bjarnadóttir

Valgerdur Bjarnadóttir ( born January 13, 1950) is an Icelandic politician (Alliance).

Since 2009 she is a Member of the Icelandic Althing Parliament for the constituency of Reykjavík North. Since 2011, Valgerdur Member of Committee of Public Safety and Chair of Constitutional and Control.

She is the daughter of former Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson, the sister of former education and Minister of Justice Björn Bjarnason and was with the politician Vilmundur Gylfason, who was briefly Minister for Justice, religion and education, married.
