Valgerður Sverrisdóttir

Valgerdur Sverrisdóttir ( born March 23, 1950 in Hof Lómatjörn in the community Grýtubakki ) is an Icelandic politician ( Progress Party ).

Life

Valgerdur is a member of the Althing, the Icelandic parliament. There, it represents the northeastern constituency ( Norðausturkjördæmi ) since 1987 and was on 15 June 2006 to 24 May 2007 Exterior Minister ( Utanríkisráðherra ). From 2008 to 2009 she was also chairman of its Progress Party.
