Valle de la Luna (Chile)

The Valle de la Luna ( Spanish " Valley of the Moon ") is a desert landscape in the Chilean region of Antofagasta.

The valley runs as part of the Atacama desert near the Salar de Atacama and the Licancabur volcano and is the sixth sector of the company founded in 1990 National Reserve Los flamenco. It is located around 17 kilometers from the town of San Pedro de Atacama. As the attractions in the area is also visited the Valle de la Luna by relatively many tourists. The vegetated area looks like the surface of the moon, hence the name. Flora and Fauna
